FAQ – How many revenue stamps are needed for a sworn translation in Rome?

Question: I have a document that needs sworn translation at the Court of Rome. The document starts with regular A4 pages – portrait view. Then, however, it goes on with extra-large pages – landscape view. How can I submit this kind of document to the Court of Rome?

Answer: I believe that the document can still be translated in A4 format, regardless of the page orientation. The Court of Rome calculates the number of revenue stamps needed based on the translation rows/pages, and not necessarily on the original pages.

This is how the calculation is done at the Court of Rome: one €16.00 revenue stamp per 100 rows of translation, equallying around 4 translation pages. Please remember that the sworn translation report (one page) that must be attached to the sworn translation shall be included in the calculation.
