Sworn translations of Latin to English Degree Certificates

FAQ – Just a question, I did not see Latin in your language pairs. Could you please let me know if Latin falls within your language scope for sworn translations?

Answer – I do work with Latin. I studied Latin language and literature and Latin>Italian translation for 5 years at high school (all Liceum programs in Italy include those subjects). Then, by working as a translator, I have acquired experience in translating US university degree certificates and Vatican City university degree certificates from Latin into English (simple, certified, and sworn translations, depending on the client’s request).

I can provide sworn translations at the Court of Rome, and legalization with Apostille services. For these kind of translation services, you need to book in advance, because I need to request an appointment at the Court of Rome for the sworn translation. I generally take one appointment per week, so generally the waiting time for my sworn translation service in Rome is one or two weeks.

I am also available for translation and interpreting tasks in Rome in my main language combinations, including Italian, English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.

Question – Please confirm you are a “Sworn” Translator?

Answer – In Italy there is no such thing as an official “Sworn” translator.
Any translator can go to Court and make an oath to provide sworn translations, and that’s what I usually do. I can fix appointments with the Court of Rome and I can provide official sworn translations that are legally valid in Italy. I can provide an Apostille from the Procura to make them legally valid also abroad.

This year I have also applied to be included in the CTU list of the Court of Rome, which is a list of approved translators who can provide translation and interpreting services for the judges during hearings. My application is still pending.
