Sworn Translation of Birth Certificate in Italy

FAQ – We are looking for a sworn translator (English to Italian) to translate a birth certificate.

I’ve been told our client needs a traduttore giurato – an official sworn translator in Italy. Could you tell me your rate for such a document, and if you need the physical documents? Our client is based in the U.S., so we were wondering if the scanned translation has the same validity.

Reply – Thank you for your enquiry. I confirm that I am a traduttrice giurata, a sworn translator accredited with the Court of Rome.

In order to provide you with a quote, I need to see the scanned copy of the document. My quote for sworn translations includes my rate for the translation + the fee for my oath at the court + the revenue stamps required by the court (1x €16 stamp every 4 pages of translation approximately).

As for the validity of the scanned documents, you should check with the authority or public administration office that is requesting the birth certificate.

Should you need any further information, do not hesitate to contact me.
