Since December 2024 I have been appointed as Official Sworn Translator Expert Consultant at the Court of Rome, with registration no. 2772. My sworn translation and legalization activity was formally recognized by the Court of Rome and I will now be able to serve not only private citizens and law firms, but also the Public Prosecutor and the Court of Rome direclty, for both criminal and civil cases.
What is an Expert Consultant Translator of the Court in Italy?
The Expert Consultant Translator and Interpreter appointed by the Judge is recognized by the Italian Ministry of Justice, and more specifically by the Court where the registration is made as official translator and interpreter, for interpreting services during hearings or for the translation of legal case deeds.
The registration as Expert Consultant Translator for the Court is reserved to those who demonstrate special skills and technical competence in translation and interpreting, in my case for the following language combinations: English to Italian, Spanish to Italian, French to Italian, Portuguese to Italian, and vice versa.
A special commission of the Court of Rome decides wether the translator has demonstrated special technical skills and is thus admitted to be appointed as Expert Consultant Translator and Interpreter for the Court.
